Le Pharaoh Demo: Free Play and Review
Updated Demo client 1.50.1Hacksaw Gaming, September 2024
Le Pharaoh is the one slot on this site that lets you pick your own bonus. Released in September 2024, it takes Smokey the raccoon to Egypt on a 6x5 grid with 19 lines, where winning symbols stick and trigger re-drops, leave Golden Squares behind, and a Rainbow turns those squares into coins worth up to 500x. Three or four scatters open a choice between two bonus types; the cap is 15,000x.

The demo opens at €2.00 on €5,000 of play money, and stakes go from €0.10 to €2,000. Unlike Le Bandit, this game pays along fixed lines, not in clusters, but the coin machinery on top works almost the same way.
Does the bonus choice change the RTP of Le Pharaoh?
Slightly, yes. According to the game rules, a player who always picks Luck of the Pharaoh or its Super version gets 96.18%, while one who always picks Lost Treasures or Super Lost Treasures gets 96.21%. The gap is three hundredths of a point; the bigger difference between the two is how the bonus plays, not what it returns.
Sticky re-drops and Golden Riches
When a line wins, its symbols stay in place and everything else drops again. Any new symbol that extends the win or creates another one also sticks, and the re-drops continue until nothing new connects. Every paying symbol that stuck marks its position as a Golden Square.

The coins only arrive if a Rainbow is on the grid when the re-drops end. That step, which the rules call Golden Riches, opens every square into a Bronze (0.2x to 4x), Silver (5x to 20x) or Gold (25x to 500x) coin, with a chance of a Pot of Gold, a Green Clover for neighbouring coins or a Golden Clover for the whole grid, both from x2 to x20.

Pots activate after the clovers, top to bottom and left to right, and collect every coin and pot in view; then the remaining squares open again. As in Le Bandit, the squares in the base game reset at the next spin.
Why the paylines hardly matter
Line wins in Le Pharaoh are tiny. Six scarabs, the best regular symbol, pay 3x the bet, and six wilds pay the same. The paytable mostly exists to create sticky symbols, and therefore Golden Squares, for a Rainbow to cash in.
| Symbol | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 0.1x | 0.2x | 0.3x | 0.5x |
| J, Q | 0.1x | 0.2x | 0.3x to 0.4x | 0.6x |
| K, A | 0.1x | 0.2x | 0.4x to 0.5x | 0.7x |
| Hourglass, crook and flail | 0.3x | 0.5x | 1x | 1.5x |
| Eye of Horus, ankh | 0.5x | 1x | 1.5x | 2x |
| Scarab | 1x | 1.5x | 2x | 3x |
| Wild | - | - | - | 3x |
Most paying spins in our log returned less than the stake: the median paying spin was 0.7x.
Five bonuses behind two choices
Three FS scatters bring up a choice screen; four bring up the same choice between the Super versions; five skip the choice and start the hidden bonus. The two families play very differently.
| Bonus | Trigger | How it plays |
|---|---|---|
| Luck of the Pharaoh | 3 FS, your pick | 10 free spins; Golden Squares stay lit to the end, even after a Rainbow uses them; 2 FS add 2 spins, 3 add 4 |
| Lost Treasures | 3 FS, your pick | Three refilling lives; only coins, clovers, pots, Stone Tablets and dead symbols land; coins stick until a pot collects them |
| Super Luck of the Pharaoh | 4 FS, your pick | 12 free spins, better coins and pots, a clover guaranteed whenever Golden Riches fires |
| Super Lost Treasures | 4 FS, your pick | As Lost Treasures, with an Adding Stone Tablet guaranteed on the first spin and better coins |
| Rainbow Over the Pyramids | 5 FS | 12 free spins, Golden Squares lit to the end and a Rainbow on every spin; cannot be bought |
The Stone Tablets are what make Lost Treasures different. An Adding Stone Tablet adds 1x up to 500x to one random coin on every spin, and a Multiplying Stone Tablet multiplies one random coin by x2 to x20. A life is spent on each spin and any non-dead symbol refills all three, so the round runs until three spins in a row bring nothing.

We bought You Must Choose... for €200 and picked Luck of the Pharaoh. The ten spins returned €67.20, 33.6x the bet and about a third of the price; by the last spin a block of lit Golden Squares covered the left side of the grid.
The worst of our eight logs
Le Pharaoh produced the weakest of all our sessions: 500 logged spins at €2.00 without a single bonus.
The game paid on 29.6% of spins, but only three spins reached 10x and the best, number 173, paid 13.1x. The balance was highest on the fifth spin and slid almost without interruption to €4,377.20; the spins returned just 37.7% of the stakes.
That is what a medium-volatility game looks like when its money sits in bonuses that do not come: no FS trio arrived in 500 spins, so the logged return reflects the base game alone. It says nothing reliable about the 96.21% RTP, which includes those bonuses.
Le Pharaoh buy menu
Four cards, priced for a €2.00 bet. The two bonus buys both lead to the choice screen rather than to a fixed round.
| Option | Price | At €2.00 | RTP | Volatility |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BonusHunt FeatureSpins Each spin is 5 times more likely to trigger a bonus game | 3x per spin | €6.00 | 96.35% | High |
| Rainbow FeatureSpins At least 1 Rainbow symbol lands with a winning combination | 60x per spin | €120.00 | 96.35% | High |
| You Must Choose... Pick Luck of the Pharaoh or Lost Treasures | 100x | €200.00 | 96.31% | Medium |
| ...But Choose Wisely Pick Super Luck of the Pharaoh or Super Lost Treasures | 250x | €500.00 | 96.26% | High |

For the options that lead to a choice, the table shows the figure the demo server reports, which matches the Lost Treasures side; Rainbow FeatureSpins has a single value. The rules give a second set for the Luck side: 96.28% for BonusHunt, 96.33% for You Must Choose... and 96.29% for ...But Choose Wisely.
Le Pharaoh FAQ
From the rules inside the demo. Smokey's first game is reviewed on the Le Bandit page, and Le King has its own review too.
Which Le Pharaoh bonus should I pick?
The return barely differs: always picking Luck of the Pharaoh makes the whole game return 96.18%, always picking Lost Treasures 96.21%, and for bought bonuses the order flips slightly. Luck of the Pharaoh plays like classic free spins with lasting Golden Squares; Lost Treasures is a coin-collecting round with Stone Tablet multipliers.
Is Le Pharaoh a cluster pays slot?
No. Unlike Le Bandit and Le King, Le Pharaoh pays on 19 fixed lines from left to right, and winning symbols stick for re-drops.
What is the max win in Le Pharaoh?
15,000x the bet, reachable in every game mode. When a round reaches it, the round ends and any free spins left are lost.
How do you get Rainbow Over the Pyramids?
Only by landing five FS scatters in one base game spin. It gives 12 free spins with a Rainbow on every spin and is not in the buy menu.
What do the Stone Tablets do?
They appear only in Lost Treasures and its Super version. The Adding tablet adds 1x to 500x to a random coin each spin, the Multiplying tablet multiplies one by x2 to x20.
What are the RTP versions of Le Pharaoh?
The demo runs the 96.21% model. Hacksaw's game page does not publish lower versions for this title.
Where Le Pharaoh lands
The bonus choice is a genuinely good idea, and Lost Treasures with its Stone Tablets is the most unusual round among the slots reviewed here. The base game is the weak part: line wins are tiny, Golden Riches needs a Rainbow at the right moment, and our 500-spin log never saw a bonus. Try the demo to see both bonus types, but expect long, quiet base-game stretches in between.
