A Book that substitutes and scatters
Any Book is a Wild for all ten paying symbols. When more than two land together in the base game they also count as scatters, and five of them add a 1,000x cash prize to Triple Book of Dawn. A BEST OF BONUS scatter on the same spin turns either bonus into its Best of version.
In our 500 logged spins one Book showed on 178 grids and two on 38, but three never landed together. A Book sat inside a paying line on 73 spins, worth €375.40 of the €638.60 won in all. On spin 53 two Books joined two jackals for four of a kind at 40x.
Five of a card rank pay 5x to 10x, five of an Egyptian picture 75x or 200x, and five explorers 1,000x.
Thirteen lines under a spreading Special
Any base spin can switch on the Book mechanic at random. One symbol becomes the Special and lands three to five times. Once the normal wins are paid, each copy spreads over its reel and pays anywhere, even with other symbols on the reels between.
On three rows a covered reel lies under all 13 lines, so a Special spread over three or more reels pays one line value 13 times. Four reels of 10 at 1x made 13 × €2.00 = €26.00 of the €26.60 on that frame. Our log held four such spreads, all of low symbols (the 10 three times, the J once), worth 2.6x, 2.6x, 3.9x and 13x, €44.20 in all.
Once a Special symbol spreads, which lines does it pay on?
On all 13. A spread Special fills every row of the reels it landed on and pays anywhere, so the reels between need not match and each line holds it once per covered reel. On spin 183 of our log the 10 covered reels 1, 3 and 5 and paid 13 × 0.2x = 2.6x. On spin 461 four covered reels paid 13 × 1x = 13x. Ordinary wins on the spin are paid first.
Book of Dawn and the Triple level above it
Book of Dawn gives ten free spins with one paying symbol drawn as the Special, shown with a golden frame and a colour change. It is never the Book. The Special spreads only when it lands on three or more reels at once, then pays anywhere as in the base game.
Inside the round two Books at once add 2 spins, three add 4, and four upgrade it to Triple Book of Dawn with 4 more. In our €200.00 purchase the cat-eared figure reached reels 3, 4 and 5 together and spread, 13 lines × €6.00 = €78.00. Later a spin with three Books on the middle row added 4 more and paid €25.00, and TOTAL WIN read €106.00 after 14 spins, 53x the bet.
Triple Book of Dawn starts with twelve spins and three Specials, at least one of them a high symbol. When two or three reach three reels in one spin, they spread and pay one after another, and Books add spins as before.
Four spreading spins and no Book of Dawn
On Hacksaw's demo server a script played 500 paid spins at €2.00, and every figure here comes from them.
The four spreads were base-game features, which is why the last tile reads zero. Spins paid 29.2% of the time, for a median win of 0.5x. Spin 474 was best, five scarabs across the top row for 75x, €150.00, without a Book.
The balance ended at €4,638.60, with 63.9% of the €1,000.00 staked paid back, and no dry spell ran past 11 spins.
A menu where 100x buys a mode or a bonus
BUY BONUS opens 7 cards, and no other game reviewed here has more than 6. Two cost 100x. Golden FeatureSpins bills that on every spin until DISABLE is pressed, each spin landing three or more of a random high symbol that spreads; Book of Dawn Bonus is one payment for ten free spins.

2 Wild 2 Die, out in January 2024, 2 months earlier, uses the same Best of rule: a separate BEST OF BONUS scatter, three bonuses in a row, a scoreboard, the best result paid. Its Best of cards change the volatility label, while here all seven read High.

Can the Book be picked as the Special?
No. GAME INFO allows only low or high paying symbols.
Is Golden FeatureSpins the same as buying Book of Dawn?
No. Both cost 100x, but the FeatureSpins card charges it on every spin until disabled.
What do five Books pay?
Triple Book of Dawn plus a 1,000x cash prize, or Best of Triple Book of Dawn plus the same prize if a BEST OF BONUS scatter lands as well.
Can Book of Dawn turn into Triple Book of Dawn?
Yes. Four Books at once during the round upgrade it and add 4 spins.
Is three for the price of two also true without buying?
Only in the menu. Unbought, Best of starts when its own scatter lands beside three to five Books, at no extra cost.
Is Dawn of Kings related to Duel at Dawn?
No source links them: Duel at Dawn is a western from November 2024, and Dawn here is the surname of the hero, Amy Dawn.
A book slot that spreads outside the bonus
Much of Dawn of Kings is the familiar book formula. Two details matter more. Spreading can come on an ordinary spin, and on three rows a Special spread over three or more reels collects all 13 lines. That rule paid €44.20 across our log's four base spreads, all of them low symbols, and the €78.00 that lifted our bought bonus to 53x.
