Three drum-shaped reels turn under the logo, and the edges peeking out above and below the middle row belong to the next symbols on each drum. Where most Hacksaw games say BUY BONUS, the round button of client 1.18.0 reads Feature Spins, and the opening stake in play money is €2.00.

One Seven pays the stake back

Only three results pay. The smallest, a Lucky Seven on the left reel, returns 1x the bet and so only the stake. At the other end, three Sevens pay 10,000x, which is both the cap and the only way to reach it.

Max Win Machine Lucky Seven paytable
GAME INFO at €2.00: one Seven pays €2.00, two €20.00 and three €20,000.00, on a single line read from the leftmost reel.

The count starts on reel 1. In our log 63 spins had a Seven on the line only further right and paid nothing, 4 of them with Sevens on both reels 2 and 3. Spin 92 had Sevens on reels 1 and 3 with a dead symbol between them and paid 1x, because the run from the left stopped after one symbol.

Every one of the 42 spins with a Seven on reel 1 paid, so that reel decided each payout. The demo server lists four kinds of dead symbol with empty pay entries, and on our frames every one is a block of three purple NOPE plates.

Last media spin: NOPE blocks on all three reels, with the edge of a Seven above reels 1 and 3, off the line.

What are the odds of three Sevens in Max Win Machine?

Hacksaw prints them only for the four FeatureSpins modes: 1 in 990 a spin at 11x the bet, 1 in 100 at 105x, 1 in 10 at 1,050x and 1 in 5 at 2,100x. For an ordinary spin no figure is published, and the demo server leaves its max win odds field at 0. Three Sevens never lined up in our 500 base spins.

40 stakes handed back, 2 wins of 10x

Every result below is the demo server's reply to one of 500 spins at €2.00 sent by our script.

Something was paid on 8.4% of spins, yet 40 of those 42 payouts only handed back the stake. Spins 75 and 154 lined up two Sevens for €20.00 each, the only two that left the balance higher than before.

Demo balance across our 500 logged spins at €2.00, starting from €5,000.00 (dashed line). The game has no bonus round; the line rises only at spins 75 and 154.

After spin 1 the balance stayed under €5,000.00 and ended at its lowest, €4,120.00, with €120.00 back from €1,000.00 (12.0%). At one point 36 spins in a row paid nothing.

Four cores, four printed chances

The FEATURESPINS menu has four cards, all labelled Extreme. A mode stays on, charging each spin, until you press DISABLE, and nothing is sold as a one-off.

Price times printed odds gives the average outlay per max win: 990 × 11x = 10,890x for Heavy Core FeatureSpins, while 100 × 105x, 10 × 1,050x and 5 × 2,100x each make 10,500x. Against 10,000x paid, the max win alone returns 91.83% of the cheapest card's price and 95.24% of the other three.

On the 11x and 105x cards the 1x and 10x hits fill the gap to the RTP, 4.40 and 1.08 points. On the two dearest they cannot. There 0.93 points of 2,100x is 19.5x a spin, while a spin without the max win pays 10x at most, so the printed 1 in 10 and 1 in 5 must be rounded figures and the true chances a little better.

Max Win Machine FeatureSpins menu cards
At €2.00 the four FEATURESPINS cards cost €22.00, €210.00, €2,100.00 and €4,200.00 a spin, each labelled Extreme.

All of this assumes the prize multiplies the base bet, as GAME INFO puts it, and not the mode's price. Counted on 11x, a 1 in 990 chance of 10,000x would return 10,000 ÷ 990, about 10.1 times the price, against the 96.23% on the card. At €2.00 the top prize is €20,000.00 for a €22.00 spin and a €4,200.00 one alike.

The 96.22% version is the one in this window, and Hacksaw lists 94.28% and 92.20% as the lower settings a casino can choose. Where paid features are banned, the Feature Spins button is hidden.

Beside the other 5 out of 5 games here

Chaos Crew from September 2020 shares the volatility score of 5, the 10,000x cap and a list of only three RTP versions, though its 96.30%, 92.40% and 88.40% sit about four points apart where these sit two apart.

The word in the title is all this game shares with Vending Machine, a 5x5 game with 35 paylines, volatility 3 and a 5,000x cap.

Sevens, NOPEs and the cheapest card

Five short ones, answered from client 1.18.0, Hacksaw's game page and our log.

Does a Seven on the middle reel pay on its own?

No. Wins count from the left reel, so a Seven on reel 2 counts only beside one on reel 1. In our log 47 spins had a Seven there and none on reel 1, and none of them paid.

Is the 1x payout a profit?

No, it returns the stake. 40 of our 42 paying spins were 1x.

Do the symbols above and below the line count?

No. Only the middle row is a payline.

Is there an 88% version of Max Win Machine?

Not according to Hacksaw, whose game page lists only 96.22%, 94.28% and 92.20%.

What does Heavy Core FeatureSpins cost at the lowest stake?

11x of €0.05, or €0.55 a spin, for the same 1 in 990 printed chance.

Ten thousand or almost nothing

No other game reviewed on this site is cut down this far, to one line, one paying symbol and three payouts. Most spins return nothing and a Seven on reel 1 only gives the stake back. Profit starts at two Sevens from the left, which came twice in our 500 spins. The 10,000x is the one large number in the game, and the FeatureSpins cards change only how often it is in reach, at a printed price.
