In Le Zeus a cloud with a lightning bolt does the work that Golden Squares do elsewhere in the Le series. Hacksaw Gaming released it in September 2025: the 6x5 grid has 19 fixed lines, and Mystery symbols on reels 2 to 5 turn into one high-paying symbol, Wilds or Mystery Reels of coins and Diamonds worth 0.2x to 500x the bet. Every mode is capped at 20,000x. The studio's own client below runs it free in a browser tab, with no registration step.

Lightning clouds on reels two to five
Mystery symbols drop in vertical stacks on the four middle reels only, and all of them turn into the same thing: one high-paying symbol, Wilds or a Mystery Reel. No cloud in our log revealed a Greek letter, the low payers.
If the revealed symbol wins, its positions turn back into clouds and stick for a respin, joined by any new clouds that land; the box below gives the full rule.
There is a catch: lines start on reel 1, where clouds never land, so a revealed symbol pays only if the first reel already shows it or a Wild.
When does a Mystery symbol start a respin in Le Zeus?
Only when the symbol it reveals is part of a line win. The revealed positions then turn back into Mysteries and stick while the others spin; the clouds reveal again and the sequence runs until a reveal adds nothing or becomes a Mystery Reel. In our 500 logged spins clouds landed in 68, revealed a symbol in 59 and started 11 respin sequences, the longest four respins long.
What a Mystery Reel is made of
Each square of a Mystery Reel shows a coin, a Diamond, a Pot of Gold or a clover. A Bronze Coin is worth between 0.2x and 4x, a Silver one between 5x and 20x, a Gold one 25x, 50x or 100x, and a Diamond 150x, 250x or 500x. Clovers multiply by x2 to x20 (Green: neighbours, Gold: the whole grid), then Pots gather every value and the other squares spin again.
Base-game Mystery Reels came up small: our log had 11, worth €189.40 together. Of their 60 coins, 31 were the 0.2x minimum; one 25x Gold made spin 116 the best base spin, 36.1x; three Green Clovers showed x2, x3 and x3, and no Diamond or Pot appeared.
Nineteen lines, read from reel one
Wins need three to six matching symbols from the leftmost reel along 19 fixed lines. The table gives each payout in x the bet, read off the €2.00 paytable.

The Wild stands in for all of them and pays alone only for six, 200x. Of the 59 symbols our clouds revealed on landing in the base game, 51 were horns, columns, swords or masks; wings appeared four times, the helmet and Wilds twice each.
Eight free spins with sticky Mysteries
No scatter can land inside a bonus, so each lasts eight free spins.
- Bolt & Run (3 FS, buy 80x): every cloud stays to the end; coins start at 1x.
- Myth-Taken Identity (4 FS, buy 300x): 25 clouds fill a Mystery Meter for a reward spin with the whole grid as a Mystery Reel, its lowest coin type rising each time.
- Gods Just Wanna Have Fun (5 FS, cannot be bought): Bolt & Run with reels 2 to 5 clouded from the start, no low symbols, coins from 5x.
The log holds two bonuses, and both were natural Bolt & Runs. On spin 113 the stuck clouds grew from two to 15, and two Mystery Reels paid €350.00, including a 150x Diamond, and €68.00 of the €454.20. On spin 276 the last free spin turned 15 clouds into €168.00 of a €174.00 round.
We bought one for €160.00 on screen; line wins had made €1.20 when its nine clouds opened.
That made €62.00. The last two spins added nothing, the final reveal being theatre masks, so the bonus closed at €63.20, 31.6x for an 80x price. A natural Bolt & Run earlier in that session paid €40.20.
Counting clouds in 500 logged spins
A script sent these 500 paid spins of €2.00 to Hacksaw's demo server, and we searched every saved answer for Mystery events.
Clouds landed in 68 spins, 13.6% of the sample, mostly two to seven at once. Those spins paid €358.80, two thirds of the base game's €537.80; the other 430 base spins made €179.00. A four-respin chain on spin 339, with up to six winning lines per reveal, paid €50.00 and lifted the balance to its peak, €5,385.20.
The overall 116.6% rests on the two bonuses. Spin 113 paid 227.1x four spins after the low of €4,846.80, and without both the sample comes back at 53.8%, well short of the rules' 96.26%. Two bonuses say nothing about the next one.
Otherwise 38% of spins paid, the median win stood at 0.5x and no dry run passed 9 spins.
Prices from 3x to 300x the bet

Le God Mode lands at least six clouds per paid spin and no scatters, at the base game's 96.26%. Casino listings also carry 94.18%, 92.37% and 86.27% versions of Le Zeus, and some countries remove the buy button.

Which reels can Mystery symbols land on?
Reels 2, 3, 4 and 5, never 1 or 6 in normal play; every cloud in our logged bonuses sat there too. Gods Just Wanna Have Fun starts with those four reels full.
Why can't a Le Zeus bonus retrigger?
FS scatters cannot land in any of the three bonuses. Each runs for exactly 8 free spins; only Myth-Taken Identity adds reward spins through a full Mystery Meter.
What happens when the Mystery Meter is full?
After the current free spin, a reward spin turns the whole grid into a Mystery Reel. The meter then resets, and the next reward spin drops the lowest coin type.
How much is a Diamond worth?
150x, 250x or 500x the bet; Pots of Gold collect them. The only one in our log was a 150x Diamond, in the Bolt & Run on spin 113.
Which Zeus slot is this one?
Le Zeus is Smokey the raccoon's Greek outing in the Le series. Ze Zeus and Zeus Ze Zecond are separate Hacksaw slots.
A Le game without Golden Squares
With Le King and its Easter and Christmas versions, Le Zeus shares Smokey, the Bronze and Silver coins, the clovers and the 20,000x cap. Its Gold Coins stop at 100x, Diamonds reach 500x, and clusters, cascades and Rainbows are gone.
Le Pharaoh is the other 19-line Le game on this site, capped at 15,000x. Here a cloud pays off, or not, on the spin it lands; only bonuses let it stay.
It suits players who like to see the working: every cloud lands, sticks and turns into something in plain view. Expect a small line win on more than a third of spins and rare Mystery Reels, mostly Bronze.
