Is The Luxe demo the high-volatility version?
No. The demo runs the model rated 2 out of 5, on Hacksaw's game tile and on its own intro screen, with an RTP of 96.34% in GAME INFO. Slot listings such as Bigwinboard and SlotCatalog also describe a 5 out of 5 model, labelled High, with RTPs from 96.33% down to 88.45% and a 2,000x High-Roller FeatureSpins buy missing from the demo's menu. They give it the same grid, frames, bonuses and 20,000x cap.
A frame needs a paying symbol beneath it
Golden Frames land on positions mid-spin and open when the reels stop, showing a Multiplier (2x to 10x, 25x, 50x or 100x) or a Jackpot. A frame counts only if the symbol inside it is part of a winning line; Multipliers on one line are added, and all frames leave after the payout.
That condition bites. Frames appeared on 33 of our 500 logged spins, 86 in all, and only 18 had a paying symbol under them. No base-game Multiplier went past 5x: 27 showed 2x, 21 showed 3x, 16 showed 4x and 12 showed 5x. On spin 170 a 3x and a 5x shared a line of three poker chips and turned €2.00 into €16.00.
Jackpot Frames follow the same rule: all 10 in the base game were MINI, and none sat on a winning line. Only the Clover Crystal pays frames without a win, collecting every Multiplier and Jackpot that landed in the spin. Ours came on spin 193, with no frame in sight.
Lines pay from reel 1: the four suits 0.2x to 1x the bet, the crown 10x to 100x, the yellow diamond 20x to 200x and five gold W wilds 200x.
Sticky frames in all three bonuses
Each bonus runs 10 free spins, and the number of FS symbols landing together picks which one starts; in the first two, two more FS add 2 spins and three add 4.
- Black and Gold, 3 FS. One frame from the first spin. Every frame stays to the end and is refilled with a new Multiplier or Jackpot between spins.
- Golden Hits, 4 FS. Three frames to start, at 2x to 10x. A Multiplier stays until a win or a Clover Crystal uses it, then doubles, at most once a spin.
- Velvet Nights, 5 FS. The hidden bonus: Golden Hits with a frame on every position, and no Clover Crystals or FS symbols.
We bought Black and Gold once, for €160.00. Spin 1 opened with a single frame, bottom left; new frames joined and stayed, changing value between spins.
That MINI never sat on a winning line. Six of the 10 spins paid; the largest, spin 6, brought €25.60, €20.00 of it from four two-aces cards on a row without a frame. The round ended with five frames, 2x to 10x, and TOTAL WIN €52.40, 26.2x the bet against an 80x price.
Most frames missed the line in our log
Off camera, a script played 500 paid spins at €2.00 on Hacksaw's demo server, the model in the window above.
Wins came on 41.6% of spins, with a median of 0.5x, and after spin 14 the balance never got back above €5,000.00. Both natural bonuses were Black and Gold and beat our bought one: spin 146 paid 44.9x the bet, and spin 466, straight after the session low of €4,607.20, paid 58.4x.
Frames multiplied a line on 14 spins, turning €74.40 of line wins into €151.80. The best base spin, 369, put a 2x frame on three crowns, a €20.00 line, for 20x. The log returned 69.2%, or 48.6% without its bonuses; 500 spins cannot test either model's RTP.
This buy menu, and the 2,000x card it lacks
The demo names its model before the first spin: the VOLATILITY meter on its intro screen lights two of five letters.

Bigwinboard, which reviewed the 5 out of 5 model, reports a fourth card there: High-Roller FeatureSpins at 2,000x the bet, with what it calls a 1 in 10 chance of the max win. We have not played that version.

A frame lands off the winning line. Is it lost?
In the base game, yes, unless a Clover Crystal collects it: every frame is removed after the payout. In our log 68 of 86 frames went that way.
In euros, how big is each jackpot at the €2.00 default?
€50.00 for MINI, €200.00 for MAJOR, €1,000.00 for MEGA and €40,000.00 for MAX WIN. Each is a fixed multiple of the stake, and the board beside the reels shows them in euros.
What do five FS symbols in one spin start?
Velvet Nights: 10 free spins with a Golden Frame on every position under Golden Hits rules. It is not on the buy menu, and no FS symbols land in it.
Which version has the 2,000x High-Roller buy?
The other model. Bigwinboard and SlotCatalog tie it to the 5 out of 5 version; the demo's menu stops at Golden Hits for 250x.
Can a Golden Hits multiplier double twice in one spin?
No. It doubles at most once a spin, after a win it is part of or when a Clover Crystal collects it, and keeps the new value until it doubles again.
Golden Squares turned inside out
Le Bandit and Le King build their gold squares after the fact: the squares behind a winning cluster become Golden Squares, which a Rainbow opens into coins. Here the frame comes first, holding its value, and waits for a winning symbol.
The jackpots echo Le King, with MAJOR 100x and MAX WIN 20,000x in both; Le King's MINI is 10x (25x here) and its MEGA 1,000x (500x). Hacksaw's page for The Luxe names neither the Le series nor its raccoon.
The grid and lines are those of Beast Below, 5x4 with 14 paylines, where a Siren's multiplier also counts only on its own win.
In demo form The Luxe is calm: frames on about one spin in 15, rarely on a line, never above 5x in 500 base spins, and the best Black and Gold we saw paid 58.4x. The High-rated model with its 2,000x card is a different proposition that this demo cannot show.
