Le Fisherman Demo: Free Play and Review

Le Fisherman · Hacksaw Gaming · RTP 96.33% · max win 15,000x · checked on the demo server

Released February 2026Demo client 1.22.2

Two collectors set Le Fisherman apart from Smokey's other games: a Bucket that empties the eight squares around it and a Global Bucket that empties the whole grid. Hacksaw Gaming released the raccoon's fishing trip in February 2026 on a 6x5 cluster grid, where winning positions become Golden Squares and a Rainbow opens them into Coins of 0.2x to 500x the bet, Clovers and Buckets. Three to five FS scatters start a ten-spin bonus with a Big Catch Bar, and the cap is 15,000x in every mode. Anyone can cast a line in the studio's demo window below at no cost, no registration required.

Build 1.22.2 runs in the frame at €2.00, the stake behind every euro figure below, and its GAME INFO is the text we quote. The demo accepts up to €2,000.00 a spin; Bigwinboard and SlotCatalog give €50.00 as the casino limit, which puts the cap at €750,000.00.

Same raccoon, same cluster loop

Le Bandit players know the loop. Five or more matching symbols joined edge to edge pay, Super Cascades clear every symbol of the winning kind, and the squares under each win turn gold. A Rainbow on the grid after the cascades activates them; without one, the base game wipes them.

Le Fisherman Rainbow and Golden Squares
Free spin 4 of our bought On Thin Ice: a Rainbow in the top row and twelve lit Golden Squares, TOTAL WIN €20.20.

The reveals follow the list of Le King, except that Gold stops at 100x and Diamonds of 150x to 500x sit above it. Its two Clovers return as well: Green multiplies the Coins on adjacent squares, Gold every Coin on the grid, x2 to x20.

Le Fisherman Bronze and Silver Coins
The same twelve squares opened: eleven Bronze Coins of 0.2x to 3x and a 5x Silver Coin, TOTAL WIN still €20.20.

Together they made 17.6x, and WIN showed €35.20. Clusters weigh far less: twelve or more blue fish, the top symbol, pay 100x.

How big an area does a single Bucket empty?

A 3x3 block, the eight squares around it. GAME INFO says a Bucket collects all Coins and other activated Buckets and Global Buckets on adjacent 3x3 squares and stores the total; the emptied squares then reveal new symbols, and the sequence repeats. A Global Bucket does the same across the whole grid once every plain Bucket has finished. The one Bucket in our 500 logged spins took four neighbouring squares.

Buckets where the pot used to be

Le Bandit's Pot of Gold and Le King's Treasure Pot both collect every Coin on the grid. Le Fisherman shares the job between two symbols, which Clovers multiply as they did the pots, and adds a rule: a Bucket that has collected once never collects again.

The Epic Rainbow is the other newcomer. Where a Rainbow opens only lit squares, an Epic Rainbow reveals a Special symbol on all 30 positions, then runs the same sequence. Every Rainbow in our log was the plain kind.

A Big Catch Bar instead of retriggers

Each bonus here starts with 10 free spins on the base rules, with no +2 or +4 spins for extra scatters as in Le King. Spins come from a bar above the grid instead: each FS symbol is one step, every fifth reaches a Level worth +5 free spins, and the Level decides what an activated Rainbow becomes.

LevelFS landedActivated Rainbow becomes
00-4Nothing, as in the base game
15Green Clover
210Global Bucket
315Gold Clover
420Gold Clover, and a Rainbow or Epic Rainbow lands every spin

How long a Golden Square lives is what separates the bonuses. On Thin Ice (3 FS) keeps it until a Rainbow activates it; Slippery When Wet (4 FS) keeps it all bonus and sets the minimum Coin at 1x; Smokey Under Water (5 FS) is Slippery When Wet with the bar fixed at Level 4 and no FS symbols. Le Zeus has a meter too, but there 25 Mystery symbols pay for one grid-wide reward spin.

Our On Thin Ice, bought for €120.00, shows how slowly the bar moves. Spin 2 cascaded for €20.20 and lit the squares that the Rainbow above opened on spin 4; a single FS symbol arrived, on spin 7.

Le Fisherman Big Catch Bar first step
Two spins to go: one lifebuoy lit on the Big Catch Bar, a Rainbow on the bottom row and eleven Golden Squares, TOTAL WIN €57.00.

Those squares became €16.60 of Bronze Coins, and the last two spins were blank. TOTAL WIN: €73.60, 36.8x the bet and €46.40 under the price, with no Clover, Bucket or Level along the way.

Our bought On Thin Ice at €2.00: Rainbows on free spins 4 and 8 pay €35.20 and €16.60, and one FS symbol lights the bar; TOTAL WIN €73.60.

Fifty-six Rainbows, twelve with squares to open

For the long count a script did the fishing, sending 500 paid spins of €2.00 to the studio's demo server and saving each of its replies.

Rainbows decided the run. One landed on 56 base spins, but only 12 found lit squares. Those 12 paid €223.80 in Coins, against €264.00 from every cluster win of the base game, and all 6 spins worth 10x or more had one. The only Clover was a x2 on spin 15.

A natural On Thin Ice arrived on spin 92, and a Rainbow carried it as well: crumbs for five spins, then one on the sixth opened the saved squares for €58.00, the log's only Bucket among them. With the trigger it paid €62.80, 31.4x. In all, 40.2% of spins paid, the median win was 0.5x, and the last spin left the balance at its low of €4,548.60, so 54.9% of the stakes came back.

60x for a bonus, 500x a spin for an Epic Rainbow

BonusHunt, Rainbow Trout and Rainbow Epic Drop are FeatureSpins, charged every spin until DISABLE is pressed; the two bonuses are one-off buys.

Checked before the first cast

Sources for these answers: GAME INFO, plus the intro screen for the last one.

Where is Smokey Under Water in the buy menu?

Nowhere: only five FS scatters landing together in the base game start it. Its bar stays at Level 4, so all 10 free spins bring a Rainbow or Epic Rainbow, and no FS symbol can land.

Clover first or Bucket first?

Clover. Clovers multiply Coins and any Buckets present by x2 to x20; then Buckets collect, top to bottom and left to right, and Global Buckets go last.

Do FS scatters and Rainbows ever land together?

No. GAME INFO rules it out, so the spin that starts a bonus never opens Golden Squares as well.

What volatility does Hacksaw give Le Fisherman?

3 out of 5, on its game tile and the intro screen; some review sites say 2 out of 5. The buy cards range from Medium for On Thin Ice to Very high for Rainbow Epic Drop.

Cheaper bait, the same Rainbow

Le Fisherman changes less than its new symbols suggest: the money still waits for a Rainbow to find lit squares, and a bonus still rests on one or two activations. What it adds is reach, local or grid-wide, and a bar that turns scatters into spins and stronger Rainbows. The 60x entry is the lowest in the series here, and the 15,000x cap sits between Le Bandit's 10,000x and Le King's 20,000x. Read our 54.9% as one sample, not a forecast.
