Released June 2024Demo client 1.33.0
Ze Zeus, a Hacksaw Gaming cluster slot from June 2024, plays on two layers of a 6x5 grid. Clusters of at least five pay on the top layer, and every winning position lights up underneath as a Divine Square, which a Hand of Zeus symbol opens into coins paying 0.2x to 500x the bet. The ceiling is 10,000x the bet. Below sits the studio's own demo, free to open, and registration is not part of it.

Zeus hovers right of the grid. Left of it, where Le Bandit has a BonusHunt switch, there is nothing: BonusHunt is a buy-menu card here. Client 1.33.0 loads €5,000.00 in play money, and we never moved its €2.00 opening stake.
Under the paint sits Le Bandit. Hacksaw's demo server holds identical paytables, reel lengths, buys, RTPs and caps for the two games, and only the client build differs (1.26.1 there). The rules swap names one for one: Divine Squares for Golden Squares, Hand of Zeus for Rainbow, Vessel of Wealth for Pot of Gold, Zap of Zeus for Four-Leaf Clover.
What does the Hand of Zeus open, and when?
Every lit Divine Square in view, after the spin's clusters and cascades have paid. Squares light up under winning symbols and are worth nothing until then. Opened, each shows a Bronze, Silver or Gold Coin (0.2x to 500x the bet), a Zap of Zeus that multiplies adjacent coins and Vessels by x2 to x10, or a Vessel of Wealth that collects every coin and Vessel in view.
Every win leaves a square behind
Matching symbols form a cluster once five or more touch side to side. Once it pays, Super Cascade sweeps that regular symbol off the whole grid, in the cluster or not, and new symbols drop in. The squares that paid stay behind as Divine Squares, pale blue tiles under whatever lands on them.

The Wild, a gold W on a temple front, substitutes for every paying symbol and pays nothing itself. Zeus tops the paytable at 100x for 13 or more.

Zaps first, Vessels second, then the squares open again
The Hand opens every lit square at once, and most show plain coins: Bronze from 0.2x to 4x, Silver from 5x to 20x, Gold from 25x to 500x. Any Zap fires before anything is collected. Only then do the Vessels gather the grid's coins and other Vessels, top row first, and once the last one has collected, the other lit squares reveal fresh symbols and the whole sequence runs again.

Specials were scarce in our log. Vessels collected on 3 base spins and Zaps fired on two, always x2. Spin 436, our best base-game spin, needed neither: its six-symbol cluster, worth €0.40, lit six squares, and the Hand opened €60.40 of coins on them, 30.4x in all.
Eight spins that remember, twelve that never forget
In What If Zeus Was One of Us?, from three FS scatters, a lit square stays lit across the 8 free spins until a Hand opens it. Four scatters start Ze Zeus Take the Wheel, 12 spins in which opened squares stay lit to pay again. Five give Ze Zeus Might Superstar, 12 spins with a Hand on each and no Bronze Coins, the one bonus not for sale. In the first two, scatters landing together extend the round, by 2 spins for a pair and 4 for three, and four in the 8-spin bonus upgrade it with 4 more.
Spins 109 and 241 both brought the 8-spin bonus. The first sat through four empty free spins on three lit squares, then opened eight for €42.00 and ended at 33.7x. The second paid 87.3x, mostly from coins on two free spins: €80.00, then €88.00 with a x3 Zap in play.

Our own purchase of the same bonus cost €200.00. It opened with three squares lit where the scatters had landed, and a shield cluster on the first spin lit four more. On the second a Hand opened all seven: 10x, 1x, 2x, 1x and 15x coins around a x2 Zap, plus a 1x out of reach. The Zap doubled all five neighbours, the corner one included, for €118.00. The next spin paid €1.00 for grapes and brought four scatters, which upgraded the round.
The nine spins after the upgrade added €6.40. By the last, lit squares covered most of the grid, and no Hand came to open them.

Hand of Zeus coins on 29 of 500 base spins
Nothing was bought in the logged run of 500 paid spins at €2.00.
A third of our spins paid (33%, listings give 32%). Of the 81 base spins with a Hand on the grid, only 29 had lit squares to open, and they paid €432.00, against €566.60 for the whole base game. Coins inside the two bonuses added €228.00. Every one of the 10 wins of 10x or more included coins.
From the first spin the balance stayed below its €5,000.00 start. It bottomed out at €4,781.80 on spin 236, recovered to €4,955.20 with the bonus from spin 241 and drifted down to €4,806.80, 80.7% returned.
Our Le Bandit log on the same maths looks much the same: 32% hits, two natural 8-spin bonuses, the better at 83.2x, 88.5% back. The two ended 7.8 points apart, and neither tests a 96.34% RTP.
A guaranteed Hand among the four cards
BonusHunt FeatureSpins, at 3x a spin, gives each spin five times the usual chance of a bonus, and Mighty FeatureSpins at 50x lands a Hand of Zeus on every spin, each running until switched off. The two bonuses fill the remaining cards.
| Option | Price | At €2.00 | RTP | Volatility |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BonusHunt FeatureSpins Each spin is 5 times more likely to trigger a bonus game | 3x per spin | €6.00 | 96.28% | High |
| Mighty FeatureSpins Each spin guarantees that a Hand of Zeus symbol lands | 50x per spin | €100.00 | 96.36% | Medium |
| What If Zeus Was One of Us? 8 free spins, Divine Squares stay highlighted until activated | 100x | €200.00 | 96.30% | Medium |
| Ze Zeus Take the Wheel 12 free spins, Divine Squares stay highlighted even after activation | 250x | €500.00 | 96.40% | Medium |
With Mighty on, no lit square goes unopened, for €100.00 a spin and a theoretical 96.36%. That and the 96.34% base figure belong to this demo. Casino listings carry 94.23%, 92.17% and 88.36% versions as well, and the menu is off in some countries.

Our single purchase returned €126.00 for €200.00, one result against a 96.30% card.
Other Zeus games and small rules
One question on names, three on rules.
Is Ze Zeus part of the Le series?
No. It uses Le Bandit's maths under new names and has no raccoon. Le Zeus is the Le game, Smokey as Zeus on 19 lines; Zeus Ze Zecond and Epic Ze Zeus are other Hacksaw titles.
Which neighbours does a Zap of Zeus multiply?
Coins and Vessels on adjacent squares. In our bought bonus that included a diagonal: a x2 Zap doubled a 15x coin touching it only at a corner.
How did a bought 8-spin bonus last 12 spins?
Four FS scatters landed together on free spin 3. That upgrades What If Zeus Was One of Us? to Ze Zeus Take the Wheel and adds 4 spins.
Do lit squares pay without a Hand of Zeus?
No. GAME INFO keeps squares lit between spins only in the bonuses, so we read the base game as needing the Hand on the spin that lit them. In our log, 12 base-game Hands that came right after a spin had left squares unopened found nothing to open. In What If Zeus Was One of Us? they wait for a later one.
With the maths shared, picking between Ze Zeus and Le Bandit means picking a picture, a raccoon in Paris or a god among broken columns. Either way the money comes when a Hand or a Rainbow finds lit squares, and in our log that pairing paid most of what came back.
